VITAMIN AND MINERAL DEFICIENCY
What's the Worst That Can Happen?

It's extremely difficult for every person to reach the recommended daily requirements of all the vitamins and minerals through food consumption alone. Limitations of in-season fruits and vegetables, excesses in stress and physical activity, plus unhealthy living factors including (but not limited to) smoking, alcohol consumption, illness, and more can mean that your body is not getting what it needs to function efficiently.

Some nutrients can be stored when not needed and called upon when needed at times when a specific day goes into shortage. Some nutrients are eliminated by the body when there's an excess, and must be replenished on a daily basis. How do you know what you're missing?

Often, when there is a severe or long lasting deficiency, your body will give you signals. The purpose of this page is to give you a list of common symptoms for deficiencies of the essential nutrients.
